Wine Tasting

My family started a tradition about a year ago.

We get together every week for a wine tasting

at a different house.  We do dinner and everyone 

brings a bottle of wine.

This week was our turn to host!

Everyone "brown bags" it so that no one knows what wine
they brought! We number the bottles and rank them.

After everyone tallies them, we unveil each bottle and it's score

We line them up by their rankings.
Sometimes the winning bottle is a $3 bottle!

Jim did BBQ tri tip for dinner!!

We had the biggest wine tasting yet with 40 people
roaming through our house!!!

So many cute kiddos running around!!

The boys ended the evening with an impromptu jam session!

Once again....a much needed update!!

So I realize it's been way too long!
Here is a condensed update


My birthday present from Jim, a Macbook Pro!!
Still figuring out how to use it:)

In Other big news, we opened a second location
of One Street Down Cafe, which is why you haven't
heard from us in a while. Jim was crucial in getting
it open and we have both been working like crazy!!
As you can see, he does it all!!

It's located in Redmond's brand new Centennial Park
to celebrate Redmond's 100 year birthday. The park
is gorgeous and has a fountain for the kids to play in!



Heather and Jeff moved to Redmond and live right across
the street from us, which has been a blast!! Heather is
running our new location, so she's finally a part of our
One Street team!!



Our new neighbor!! Jeff had a mustache bash for his new work!

Jim and I took a little vacation down to Disneyland in June
and had a blast! It will always be my happy place and Jim
had never been! He wasn't quite sure what to do here...Pluto
made him nervous!

Let's Welcome our Troops!!

Well, the time has almost come! Jim will officially be home on Friday!! His closing ceremony is in Springfield and then they're busing all of the guys back to their different hometowns.

I wanted to let everyone know that Corvallis is welcoming the troops at the Armory on Kings Blvd. at 4:30 pm on Friday. Tell everyone you know so that we can give these guys the welcoming they deserve!!

Easter in the Snow!!

Well it wasn't a typical spring day, but it was still so much fun!
We went out to my aunt's cabin on the Metolius river and enjoyed
egg hunting in the snow. The kids were so cute and entertaining,
as always. It was a bittersweet holiday as it was my brother and
Michelle's last day in Oregon. They packed up a truck and trailer
and began their trek across the country for their new adventure in
Virginia. They'll be missed!
