We're Famous!

I'm sorry if you guys are getting tired of
hearing about it but my life has been the
cafe for the past few months.
We were in the Redmond paper today, which
is why this copy is so funny....it's a small paper
and they don't post their articles online
I had to scan it:)

There was a nice article that accompanied this

in which I was quoted as saying, "Our gals just

love people." I just want you all to know that

the word gal is not something I frequently say,

or ever say for that matter, but the Redmond

Spokesman sure seems to think so!

Either way, it was good press and people are

aware that we exist! Woohoo!

Anberlin

Jim left me for the week for Army warrior
training school (I think that's what it's called)
so I took the opportunity to participate in
some activities of my past, namely a rock show.
Jim's not the biggest fan so I have to take
advantage.
I went and saw Anberlin and a few other bands
in Portland last night and all I can say is that
I'm not as young as I used to be!

My sweet friend Cassie

Cassie and her buds, Kyle and Chris
grabbing some pizza before the show

My sibs met up with us there...I love them!
A poor quality picture of Anberlin and some kids' heads

And this is me today, Monday morning after getting
home at 2 in the morning and waking up at 6 for work.
Like I said...not as young as I used to be!

Coffee & Tea Training/Tasting Day

Now that we're getting down to the last
few weeks until opening, we've been at the
coffee shop all day long working out all of our
last minute details. Today was insane!
We had 3 different coffee distributors come and
test out their products. We are going to use 2
different roasters, who are both local, organic
and produce AMAZING coffee! They were
kind enough to come and give us lessons
My mom's first ever pulled shot of espresso
Dad's our bar builder man/coffee tasting guinea pig
Kels made it over for training! Move home!!!
The first roaster....amazing coffee and
so much coffee knowledge, it was overwhelming
We had to set up our cafe with tables so we could all sit
So exciting...the setup will be a little different, but
this gives you an idea

Outside view....outdoor seating and pergola set up.

This picture doesn't even come close to doing it justice.

Here are some of our employees/friends who came

for the samplings.

Getting the coffee low down

The tea tasting corner....we are going to have

some amazing locally produced loose leaf teas!!

That's all for now....stay tuned for more updates!
